Knowing the Difference


Leave the sister and brother
with the yellow/gold
red/orange streak in their hair
yeah, leave them alone.
Traditions die slowly.
Culural patterns are never quite erased.
             ostriches
             cheetahs
             lions
             leopards
             honkies
We have always imitated animals.
